Session provides an overview of the mechanisms that cause surface related injuries in athletics. Turfgrass and soil characteristics associated with an increased likelihood of contact and non-contact injury were addressed. This presentation also addresses the new NCAA Injury Surveillance System designed to help athletic trainers capture turfgrass information related to athletic injuries.

2009 Field Day and Seminar for NC and SC STMA Chapters

The NC and SC chapters of the STMA have joined forces for our 2009 Spring Seminar and Field Day on April 21st in Charlotte, NC. The day will consist of morning educational sessions at STI, FREE lunch, and an afternoon tour of the Carolina Panthers stadium and practice facilities. 2009 NC State University Turfgrass Field Day

Turfgrass Field Days offer turf professionals a firsthand look at advancements in turfgrass sciences. Field days offer the ability to talk directly with the NCSU faculty during the Q&A sessions. This process allows attendees the ability to get to the 'bottom line' as it affects their business. Crunching numbers and reading publications are one thing, personally seeing and touching the turf is exactly why many make the trip to the field day events.

NCSTMA 2009 Field Day and Seminar

The NCSTMA is hosting its 2009 Fall Field Day and Seminar on September 16th at UNC Greensboro in Greensboro, NC. Dues include admission and lunch at ALL 2009 field days including this one, but you must be a member to attend.
